Pam drove Britney, Denise and I over to the coast on Thursday. It was a drizzly day( not raining so they say...) but we still had alot of fun hiking around some pretty falls and looking in the tide pools. Of course it's always fun to eat at Mo's too! Thanks Pam and Denise for going with us!Friday, November 6, 2009
Coasting

Britney and I attended Jaleta and Tom's wedding in the Portland Temple. Brett had to go to Arizona and was sorry to miss it. It was a beautiful fall day and everything went well. Linda and family did an awesome job with the dresses and reception. Jaleta came to get us at the airport and we had a good visit with her. We hope they are very happy! We missed seeing Ron!Little Goblins

Gran had a great time with Halloween and her little goblin grand-daughters. We carved pumpkins and make sugar cookies with Montanna and made her a raggedy ann costume. Then I got to go to Arizona to spend Halloween with Darby. Her grandparents in NewYork sent these fun princess dress ups and Darby liked to pose so cute. We went to a neighborhood party with Darby dressed up as a monkey and she had lots of fun trick or treating. She really liked putting candy corns on the cookies!

Garden of the Gods
Brett's company had a conference in Colorado Springs at a motel that overlooked Garden of the Gods. The conference was the week of his birthday and he invited me up to spend a couple of days there with him. It was really an enjoyable place. One morning we woke up to see a huge buck outside our room so I of course had to take a picture. The morning we left we had Adam and Lindsey drive over and we took a walk through the Garden of the Gods. Montanna wanted to march everywhere, it was a beautiful fall day!

up and away!
Labor Day at 7 am we were found at the Balloon Festival in Colorado Springs. Brett and Britney were nice enough to come with me. Britney wouldn't let me take her picture. She said, I can't believe so many people get up this early on a holiday... There were 20 or 25 balloons. It was a photographers paradise. Here are just a few of the bazillion I took.

the law of the harvest
Well I must admit that I might have complained a little while we were spreading manure and pulling weeds and trying to dig holes in rock hard clay. I am really enjoying the fruits of my labors, (OK, mostly Brett's labors) now. I was watering the flowers in the front yard and a green hummingbird started drinking out of the hose right in front of me, so fun! I snapped this shot of the one by the pink flowers this morning. Our garden isn't huge but we have been able to can or freeze beans, peas, and pickles so far. My corn isn't quite ready. It's so fun to have a garden again! We're trying to enjoy summer while it lasts!
